Capacity Building for VET Learners/Apprentices
Capacity building concerns the creation and improvement of the skills, knowledge, resources and infrastructure needed to effectively address the challenges and opportunities that arise in a given sector or context. This process can involve both individuals and organisations, and can cover different aspects such as education, training, counselling, planning, management, evaluation and governance.
The objective of capacity building is to enable individuals and organisations to acquire the skills and resources they need to be more effective in achieving their goals and meeting the challenges they face. This may include the development of technical and professional skills, but also the promotion of soft skills such as leadership, time management, communication and collaboration.
For students/apprentices in particular, knowledge of languages and interculturalism, soft skills and networking are crucial for effective capacity-building.
